Convenient Stay with Room for Improvement

The hotel offered a clean, quiet room, but we faced some challenges with luggage carts during check-in. I enjoyed the nicely decorated lobby and found the bathroom lighting excellent. Future guests should try to arrive early for breakfast to avoid shortages.

The location was magnificent for destinations we were going to.

All staff from Checkpoint in,housekeeping, and check out very friendly and helpful.

I have food sensitivities,and couldn't find staff to ask if eggs had dairy in them. Would be nice to label foods"contains milk', or wheat,peanut

The breakfast was great. They had healthy options. We used the fitness room and enjoyed it very much. I tripped and fail and got carpet burns on my face. We decided to leave early. They didn't charge me for the nights that we didn't stay. I liked the idea of offering item you forgot at the front desk for free.

I am not sure about what I didn't like but I tripped and fail and got carpet burns on my face. I guess the quality of the carpet was just to good. Except for the burns, that is a good review also.

Quiet hotel, good base for a trip in New Bern! Plenty of goodies for breakfast. Magnificent location not far from New Bern and restaurant options and attentive and helpful staff. Also, to the historic downtown.

I am an amputee (right foot). Handicap bathroom was very spacous and easy to shower. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of power outlets around the room. I liked the way the second floor had a balcony overlooking the lobby area. Every staff member seemed to go out of the way to be helpful.

Entry drive and parking lot were a little confined for a Ford F-150. I moved to the parking area on other side of the building which was much better. It would have been helpful if the shower hose had a valve to stop the water flow without readjusting the main knob. Since I must shower from a seated position, it would have been nice if the hose had been longer. There was a loud talker in the kitchen area who made it hard to eat breakfast. However, none of this would keep me from coming back.

This was our second time staying at this Holiday Inn express. The staff is very nice and friendly, and they have coffee and cookies all day long. The breakfast is very good, and there is plenty to choose from. The location is also a plus, there are restaurants and shopping centers on the same road and a Target right across the street. We will def stay here again because we know exactly what we are getting, great service, comfortable rooms, wifi, large breakfast, and a great location!

Very easy all around. We just needed a place to spend the night and this was very comfortable and loved the free breakfast!

The employees were very friendly and always there if I needed something.

Had trouble with accessing wifi and could not get my emails.

Everything from the lovely, efficient staff to the comfortable, well sound-proofed rooms and the excellent breakfast. Even when completely full, there was a peaceful air to the hotel.

There is nowhere to walk from here (except other hotels and fast food outlets) but it is very convenient for the short drive into New Bern
